myStockPlan.com, Inc., the publisher of myNQDC.com (“the website” or “the site”), is committed to having one of the strictest privacy policies of any personal-finance and wealth-management website. Below is a discussion of our privacy practices.
SECURITY. This site takes every precaution to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the site, your information is protected both on and off line.
Our entire registration form is encrypted using secure socket layers (SSL) and 128-bit encryption from Thawte. To learn more about SSL, visit the Thawte website.
In addition to using SSL encryption to protect sensitive information on line, we also do everything in our power to protect user information off line. All our users’ information, not just the information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our editorial staff to develop article ideas) are granted access to information about myNQDC.com users. All employees and independent contractors are kept up to date on our security and privacy practices. Finally, the servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a highly secure environment.
If you have any questions about the security at our site, please send email to [email protected].
COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION. To use certain tools and features that we have, you provide information at several different points on the site. myStockPlan is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell or rent to third parties your individual personal data or your clients’ individual personal data, or otherwise share any personal information, without your authorization. However, if you subscribe to premium access through a bulk membership purchased by your company, or through a discount subsidized by your company, we may need to give the company the names of its employees who have registered and/or subscribed at myNQDC.com so that the company can ensure the appropriate employees are subscribing and/or renewing.
REGISTRATION. In order to use this site, you must first complete the brief registration form. During registration you are required to give certain contact information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about new services and changes on our site, for announcements from sponsors that must go through us (you will never receive any material directly from a sponsor), and for email newsletters. Our registration page clearly allows you to choose whether you wish to receive any or all of this email.
We need your US state of residence at the time of registration so that you can use the automatic withholding calculation for state taxes in the interactive tools on the website. We would like to know your company so that we can see which companies and industries our users work in. Employees in different industries have varying experiences, uses, and concerns related to stock compensation. This will help us focus our original content and tools to best meet our users’ needs.
PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP AND AUTOMATIC RENEWAL OF SUBSCRIPTIONS. To subscribe to myNQDC.com, you need to provide credit-card information. It is provided to third parties only to verify and complete the transaction.
Any subscription to myNQDC.com begins immediately after you pay the appropriate fee with a credit card over our secure server. myNQDC.com will automatically renew your subscription when it expires unless you cancel automatic renewal at any time during your subscription.
To automatically renew your subscription, myNQDC.com will retain your credit-card data after the initial transaction and charge your credit card for the appropriate amount at the time of renewal. At any time during your subscription you may delete or change your credit-card data. Deleting your credit-card data cancels the next automatic renewal of your subscription. If your membership is scheduled for autorenewal but your credit card has expired, for your convenience we will try to process your autorenewal with a future expiration date.
SECURITY OF CREDIT-CARD DATA. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we apply physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the data we collect online. All credit-card information is stored in an encrypted format in a password-protected database. All transactions to or from myNQDC.com which include credit-card information are protected with industry-standard SSL 128-bit encryption.
COOKIES. In computer technology, a cookie is a piece of data stored on a user’s hard drive that contains information about the user. We currently use temporary cookies that last only during your session. No cookies remain after your browser is closed. We never use cookies of any kind to collect or store personal information about you or your option grants.
We will not allow any of our sponsors or business partners to use cookies on our site. However, we have no access to or control over any cookies they may use on their sites.
LOG FILES. We use email and IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movements, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
SHARING. We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. Understandably, they will probably want to know about the demographics of our registered users. This is group data about the broad characteristics of our users. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
We may partner with another party to provide specific services. If so, we will ask you whether or not you want to sign up for such services. If you choose to sign up for any new services, we may ask you to let us provide our partner with your name or other contact information that is necessary for that partner to provide the services. We will not allow any third party to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.
